Royal Mail overseas services resume after cyber attack

Royal Mail has resumed its overseas parcel delivery services after a cyber attack on 10 January.

A ransomware group named Lockbit claimed responsibility for the cyber attack. The group is linked to Russia.

The attack caused a large backlog and long delays.

Services had gradually been restored online but remained unavailable in branch.

Services are now close to normal daily volumes, though there are still some delays.
