Event to discuss the role for facial recognition in policing

The Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner is planning an event for expert witnesses to provide evidence on whether there is a legitimate role for facial recognition in policing and law enforcement.

Audience members will be able to ask questions to test the strength of the opposing arguments and form their own opinions on who has the most compelling testimony.

The event takes place 14th June.

Experts who will be participating in the event include Silkie Carlo from Big Brother Watch (BBW); Isabelle Mouler, from the Biometric Institute; as well as Professor Fraser Sampson, Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner.

Admission is free, you can register for tickets via the eventbrite link below.
