Teenage girl charged with terrorism offences in South Australia

A 14-year-old girl from South Australia has been charged with possession of explosive instructions and extremist material.

She was arrested on Thursday 14 March and refused bail.

The girl appeared in the Adelaide Youth Court on Friday 15 March, where she was bailed to reappear on 12 April 2024.

According to South Australia police, in South Australia it is an offence to possess extremist material pursuant to section 37 of the Summary Offences Act, 1953 and it is also an offence to possess explosive instructions in contravention of s83O of the Criminal Law Consolidation Act 1935.
