IS claims Ohio State University attack

The Islamic State (IS) group has claimed responsibility for an attack carried out by Somali-born Abdul Razak Ali Artan, which left 11 people injured. Artan, an IS-affiliated Amaq news agency, drove his car into a group of people and then attacked them with a knife before he was shot dead. According to the IS-affiliated Amaq news agency, the 18-year-old business undergraduate was an IS ‘soldier’. It is unclear whether the attack had been directed from abroad or if Artan had been self-radicalised. Surveillance photos before the attack have showed Artan in the car by himself, but investigators are looking into whether anyone else was involved, while dozens of FBI agents have searched Artan's apartment for clues as to what may have triggered the attacks.
