Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam extradited to France

Salah Abeslam, a suspect thought to have been involved in the Paris attacks on 13 November, has been extradited to face trial in France. Abeslam, 26, was on the run for fourth months following the attacks until he was wounded and arrested in a rai din Brussel’s on 18 March. Belgian officials have confirmed that he has been extradited to France following the European Arrest Warrant issued by France on 19 March. Abeslam is a French national but was born in Brussels and fled to Belgium after the attacks in Paris. He is charged in France with participation in terrorist murder and the activities of a terrorist organisation.
