Suspected suicide bomber shot by Brussels station

Belgian officials have said that soldiers have shot a man suspected of being a would-be suicide bomber at Brussels Central Station. Treating the incident as a terrorist attack, Belgian newspaper La Libre Belgique says that soldiers shot the man, who was wearing a rucksack and a bomb belt, after he set off a small explosion. Prosecutors have since revealed that the man had died, but no-one else is believed to have been injured. On 22 March last year, an ISIS claimed attack killed 32 people after three suicide bombers mounted twin attacks on the city's Zaventem airport and Maelbeek underground station.
