NHS paper reflects on terrorist tragedies of 2017

A new NHS Confederation paper considers the learning from the NHS’s response to the terrorist attacks of 2017 and the Grenfell Tower fire.

Featuring an interview with the clinical director leading the mental health response to the blaze, When tragedy strikes reflects on the health service’s response to the harrowing terrorist attacks of 2017, including the Manchester Arena bombing of May 2017 and the attacks in Westminster and London Bridge last Spring.

The publication has interviews with Lord Kerslake, chair of the review into the emergency response to the Manchester Arena bombing, and Professor Chris Moran, NHS England’s trauma director.
