Two Afghan ‘Islamists’ targeting London held in Italy

Two Afghan men suspected of plotting jihadist attacks in the UK, Italy and France have been arrested and held in the Italian port city of Bari. The two suspects, Hakim Nasiri, 23, and Gulistan Ahmadzai, 29, were believed to be targeting landmarks in Bari, Rome, Paris and London for attacks, after video clips and photos found on their mobile phones were searched. They included hotels in London's West India Quay and Royal Victoria Dock. Nasiri is accused of international terrorism and Ahmadzai of assisting illegal immigration. Italian police believe that the two had formed a jihadist cell linked to so-called Islamic State (ISIL), while Italian media is reporting that three there Afghan’s are still being sought.
