London men arrested on suspicion of terror offences

Two men aged 19 and 20 have been arrested at a property in west London as part of a planned and intelligence led operation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, with assistance from the South East Counter Terrorism Unit. The 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of preparation to commit terrorist acts, while the 20-year-old’s arrest was on suspicion of funding terrorism and failing to disclose information relating to the preparation of terrorist acts. Scotland Yard has confirmed it is searching a number of addresses and vehicles in the west and south-east of London, as well as in the Thames Valley area. In a separate matter, a third man, aged 19, was arrested in south-east London on suspicion of a religiously aggravated offence. All three men remain in police custody, with inquiries ongoing.
