Man arrested in Canadian terror attack

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with attacks in Edmonton, Alberta, in which five people were injured. The attack, which happened on 30 September, saw a man stab a policeman whilst he was controlling traffic at a football match and injure four pedestrians in the ensuing police chase. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has called it a ‘terrorist attack’, with police officials saying the suspect, reportedly a Somali-born refugee, could face terror and murder-related charges.
